How to Apply for a Visa
Applicants residing in the state Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana can submit their application walk-in or through a travel agent to the nearest CKGS AVAIC as per their convenience. Alternatively the completed applications can be sent across with passport, requisite documents and relevant fees in demand draft to the CKGS AVAIC at Mumbai via shipping.

Kindly fill the CKGS online application form. Provide complete and correct information for processing your application on time and to avoid delay or rejection of your application. All the mandatory fields need to be completely filled with correct information.
Download and print your complete visa application form. The Embassy requires 2 copies of the application form, both duly signed in original.
Handwritten application forms are not accepted by the Embassy.
Prepare Your Application File
Follow the Checklist and Questionnaire whilst arranging all your documents in a proper sequence as specified. Do not forget to sign your document(s) wherever necessary.
Refer to the photo specification guideline and affix the correct photograph on the completed application form.
Also note that starting 25th November 2015, foreign governments may deny visa or entry to persons travelling with non-machine readable passports.
Submit Your Application
You can submit your application as walk-in at CKGS AVAIC nearest to your location.
If you are sending your visa application through shipping then you have to send your visa application directly to the CKGS Mumbai AVAIC only.
Applicants are not required to take prior appointments for submission of application. Applications are accepted anytime during the designated working hours of the AVAIC.
Application Processing, Payment of Visa Fee & Service Charges
Once you have checked in with our reception desk, please collect your token number. Then you will be directed to a counter where our Customer Service Officer will verify the presence and compliance of all of your required documentation. In case of insufficient information and documentation, the Customer Service Officer will communicate the same. Under these circumstances you will be requested to complete the same and then visit application center again to re-submit your application. If your application is in order, proceed to make payment towards the applicable Visa Fee & Service Charges and collect the Receipt. Applicant is advised to store the receipt carefully as it is required to be presented at the time of passport collection.
In case of pending additional documents, applicants have to submit their documents within 14 days from the date of communication of such deficiency.
If the applicant is not been able to submit his pending documents within 14 days from the date document deficiency communication by CKGS then such documents will be sent back to the applicant’s place via shipping. The Shipping charges will be deducted from the CKGS shipping fees paid by the applicant.
In case you submit your application through a representative such as family member / relative / friend or a travel agency, then the concerned representative should carry a valid photographic identification proof in original and an authorization letter signed by applicant.
The applicant intending to send across the application through shipping service to the application center in Mumbai should send all the documents, application form duly signed, photographs, passport and relevant fee through a demand draft. Any incomplete and incorrect application will be put on hold and the applicant will be informed about the deficiencies through email, twice within a period of 14 days. On receipt of the correct document, the application will be processed as per the standard process. In case applicant fails to respond within a period of 14 days, then the application will be sent back to applicant’s address through shipping service. The demand draft for the visa fee will also be sent back along with the application. Please note that the service fee and other additional service charges of CKGS are non-refundable.
Track Your Visa Application
Please note that the Embassy of Algeria accepts applications only on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays. Passports are returned by The Embassy of Algeria on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Kindly note that the normal time frame to assess an application is 3 days to 1 week from the time the Embassy receives the complete application.
However, some applications may take longer. In such situations, CKGS or the Embassy will NOT be responsible for any delays under any circumstances.
